Timberline High School Studies Boise River in Winter
Timberline High School in East Boise recently hosted 5th annual Greater Pacific Northwest’s Regional Citizens Climate Education Conference, dedicated to “Partnering for Success: Working Together for Climate Solutions”. Led by David Bunzow, students from Timberline used SRW equipment to monitor water quality and prepare a poster. All in all the event was a great success with record attendance and achieved CCF’s goals:
To enhance participants knowledge and understanding of Citizens’ Climate Lobby’s mission, values, solutions, practices and procedures in order to mitigate climate change worldwide.
To engage an audience which is multigenerational, multicultural and with multiple perspectives in the discussion of climate change solutions and actions.
To educate participants on actions to build political will at the local, regional and national level in order to build a livable world.
To encourage attendees to share information onsite and to continue their networking after the conference closes.
To enable participants to take action by providing attendees with skills, resources and connections to move forward.
Citizens’ Climate Lobby is a non-profit, non-partisan, grassroots advocacy organization. Our consistently respectful, non-partisan approach to climate education is designed to create a broad, sustainable foundation for climate action across all geographic regions and political inclinations. By building upon shared values rather than partisan divides, and empowering our supporters to work in keeping with the concerns of their local communities, we work towards the adoption of fair, effective, and sustainable climate change solutions.
