Amici Brief filed on behalf of Shoshone-Bannock Tribes

In April 2024, we filed an amici brief in the 9^th Circuit Court of Appeals on behalf of the Tribes, seeking to affirm the 2023 decision issued by the Idaho Federal District Court, which held that the Blackrock Land Exchange proposal between Simplot and BLM at Simplot’s Don Fertilizer Plant—part of the Eastern Michaud Flats superfund site, which encroaches on the Fort Hall Reservation—violates federal law.
