City of Kuna forced to clean up its wastewater treatment plant

Following on the heels of the notice letter SRW sent to the City of Kuna notifying it that we would be forced to sue if the City failed to clean up polluting operations at its wastewater treatment plant (WWTP), the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality stepped in and filed suit over the WWTP’s repeated Clean Water Act violations. The court found that the City was in direct violation of its pollution discharge permit, and ordered it to pay a fine and update its facility to come into compliance with federal regulations.
