The Corps’ Illegal Water Quality Attainment Plan for LSR Dams

In March 2024, SRW joined Columbia Riverkeeper, Northwest Sportfishin Industry Association, and Idaho Rivers United in sending a letter to the Washington Department of Ecology warning that the Army Corps of Engineers’ Water Quality Attainment Plan for the Lower Snake River dams contains no meaningful details on how the Corps would meet the dams’ heat pollution load allocations developed by the EPA.
